VEGAN BIO-LEATHER

MATERIAL

We use PETA approved biocomposite material made from bacterial cellulose, grown on agricultural waste sourced from the coconut industry in southern India. Material is a combination of natural ingredients, it is completely Plastic, PU, Petroleum free and has low carbon footprint as compared to PU based leather.

KULA PRODUCT CARE

Moisturize
The material is entirely made of natural composition and is sensitive to humidity, much like paper & leather. To ensure it remains at it's best we advice applying thin layer of clear shoe polish or drying oil to the surface especially during hot, dry weather or after cleaning.
Clean
The bag can be wiped clean with a damp cloth and then left to air-dry to clear any spill. Do not dry the bag with intense heat or ironing as it may cause damage. After drying, you can apply natural wax to recover the original condition.
Composting
If you want to compost your KULA bag, remove all the metal trimmings, chains,zippers etc. and shred or cut the bag into smaller pieces and mix into your compost that's hydrated well, with the right temperature and is alive. The bag will then biodegrade within 90-120 days depending on the climatic conditions.
